Seamless returns for 2018

As the reputation of the all ages gig series Seamless continues to grow, so do their line-ups. Returning to Auckland’s Tuning Fork on Friday 18 May with a stellar line up that includes one of New Zealand’s most exciting live bands, Yoko-Zuna, alt-pop royalty in-the-making, Nakita, hip-hop heavyweights COOL TAN & experimental youngsters, My Anatomy, Seamless vol.6 is a not to be missed event for music lovers of all ages.

Formed out of the ashes from one of Auckland’s most musically-creative hubs, Yoko-Zuna have quickly established themselves as an act with plenty of talent on the stage. With their unique combination of electronic/hip-hop compositions and a live show which is rarely bettered, their 2015 debut album This Place Here and 2016 Luminols EP showed off their brilliant sub-electronic frequencies, melodic moments and immense bass-synth fuelled drops, which you can undoubtedly expect to witness with your own eyes and ears as they take to the Seamless stage for a rare all-ages gig appearance.

Meanwhile, Cantabrian alt-pop newcomer Nakita has been dubbed as “one of the best new artists from the region,” by Tastemakers HillyDilly and “the next big thing” by Radio New Zealand. January of this year saw the release of Nakita’s highly acclaimed sophomore EP, VISION, a collection of six songs, including the radio pop-hit SUCKA which quickly garnered over 30,000 Spotify streams for the 18 year old who promises a live show full of fun and energy.

After refining their content through solo acts, Meer and Dbldbl, COOL TAN, formerly known as HEAVY are back and badder than ever. Unapologetically pretty in chocolate and taking no hostages, whether you'll listen or not, they've got something to say and they know just how to say it.

Hailing from Auckland, six-piece band My Anatomy have been dominating the all ages scene for the past year, playing alongside acts such as Yukon Era and The Daffodils. Following the release of their debut album My Tree in November last year, the bands’ fusion of jazz/rock, experimental and harsh guitar-driven tunes are not to be missed on the live stage.

With past events selling out and a limited capacity, Seamless tickets are hot to come by, so get a group of mates together and come on down to discover some of the best new acts on the rise!
