Brooke Fraser auctions designer outfits for Newborn Intensive Care Unit

Fans of Brooke Fraser are now able to own a unique piece of New Zealand music history and support the fantastic Starship Foundation simultaneously with the listing of Brooke's designer dresses on TradeMe.

Brooke partnered with Juliette Hogan, Zambesi, and Stolen Girlfriends Club to create three gorgeous, bespoke gowns that she wore at the shows on her New Zealand tour in June. The outfits that were custom-designed for Brooke are now under the hammer, being auctioned on TradeMe in support of Starship's Newborn Intensive Care Unit.

New Zealand's premier designers jumped at the chance to lend their talent to such a great cause, all of them proud supporters of the Starship Foundation. Proceeds from the sale of the dresses will go directly to provide much needed equipment for the neonatal unit which admits approximately 1000 babies every year.

Juliette Hogan designed a stunning, black peony lace full-length gown for Brooke to wear at herChristchurch show, perfectly balancing a feminine aesthetic with Brooke's star style. Brooke has worn Juliette Hogan brand for years and the team behind the iconic brand knew exactly the kind of outfit they would create for this collaboration.

"When Brooke approached us to design a bespoke piece for her Brutal Romance Tour to then be auctioned off for Starship Hospital, it was a no brainer for us to get on board. It is a wonderful cause."

Stolen Girlfriend's Club was also chosen by Brooke for this project, who created a gorgeous form-fitting frock for Brooke to wear at the Wellington show. "We wanted to compliment Brooke's gorgeous figure with the fitted mesh shape while also showing off her new belly. The gem-stone print is part of our upcoming Resort 15 collection. We think Brooke's a bit of a gem so it's a no-brainer."

The final dress that was created and is up for sale is a revisioning of one of Zambesi's runway looks from their autumn/winter collection that was created for Brooke for her Auckland concert.

"The choice was inspired by both Brooke and the vision of her performing in The Holy Trinity. We thought she looked amazing!"

All of the gowns were created with Brooke's expanding baby bump in mind, but will be altered to perfectly fit the winner of the auctions. Bidding is now open on all three outfits on TradeMe.
