Adele's '25' breaks opening week sales record

Returning with triumphant force, the woman we have come to know simply as Adele enchants the world once again through song in her long awaited new release, 25. Within just a week of the album's release, 25 has smashed multiple records across the world, including here in New Zealand surpassing Double Platinum and achieving the highest number of albums sold in the opening week in NZ recorded history with 18,766 sold which includes an all time record of digital sales in opening week of 7209!

The previous record holder being Susan Boyle's 2009 debut 'I Dreamed A Dream' that sold 17,435. '25' has outsold the rest of the top 53 albums combined during its first week on sale and 25 is already the fourth biggest selling album in NZ of 2015.
