Lauv shares music video 'Paris In The Rain'

I met you when I was 18. is the first chapter of Lauv's music and story.

After the success of his platinum top 10 smash here in New Zealand, ‘I Like Me Better’, independent singer, songwriter and producer Lauv has released new track and music video for ‘Paris in the Rain’.

Lauv says of the song, “I’m so excited to finally share this song with the world. Ever since I visited Paris for the first time, I wanted to make a song about it. The inspiration actually came after watching the movie ‘Midnight in Paris.’ To me, the only thing more romantic than the idea of walking through Paris in the rain, (at night, in the 1920s of course), is being with someone who makes you feel like that no matter where you are.”

The song release comes off the announcement of Lauv’s world tour I met you when I was 18. Set to kick off on January 18 in Seattle and reaching New Zealand in March, the tour will see him hitting cities across North America, the UK, Europe and more.

Most recently, Lauv teamed up with Spotify to debut an ongoing playlist project, titled I met you when I was 18. The collection of songs were all written by the singer, songwriter during a significant period in his life as a student at New York University, and follow a theme of young love and self-actualization. The playlist will continue to evolve as Lauv periodically adds new songs.
